TMU Research Security Self-Check

Research Security Self-Assessment Research Security Self-Assessment

Getting Started

Research security is not easy to figure out, but this tool is here to help. Congratulations on taking the first step toward safeguarding your research and securing funding to pursue your important work!

The tool is intended as a guide. Researchers are responsible for determining if the Government of Canada’s or Province of Ontario’s research security policies apply to a grant funding opportunity by consulting the individual competition information on the applicable Tri-Agency (NSERC, CIHR, SSHRC), Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Ontario Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security (MCURES), or other relevant funding website(s).

The use of this self-assessment is anonymous and no personally identifiable information is captured during its use.

This tool was adapted from the University of British Columbia Research Security team’s “Federal research security funding policy self-check” and the University of Toronto Research Security team’s “Research Security Self-Assessment.”
